When I started Digital Photography, I had an interest in the subject but had no idea what to do. I did not know anything about composition elements. When learning about those in the beginning I was confused about the differences between some of those elements. I had trouble with rule of thirds at first the other elements not really. I was not able to take anything really great until I had help from my Dad. The four photos shown above were my first photos taken and they are not great there are not even good compared to the photos I would later take with my Dads help. During the first assignment of the composition elements I had help from my Dad which really helped me understand those elements and take better photos overall. Taking those photos was fun. I liked the results I got and I was confident in my abilities. Even with that new found confidents I was still was nervous abut the photo assignments. When I found out you had to take 50 photos for a weekly assignment I found it as a daunting task. Thankfully it was a lot easier than I ever thought it would be. Those weekly photo assignments became quite fun to do. Below are some of my favorite photos from some of those photo assignments. Those are some of my most favorite photos I have taken for the photo assignments. Now here is a short list of my least favorite. The Images above all have problems. Most are too busy and out of focus. Or they are focusing on random things around the subject instead of the subject it self. Those are just some examples there are many more which is just proof why you need to take at least 50 photos to get some great looking photos.
When the photoshop assignments were first introduced I was very nervous. I had never used photoshop before and had no idea how to use it properly. Thankfully the first photo shop assignment was easy. I had fun making the Pop art. The problem was that I did not do much after that to practice on photoshop so when the second photoshop assignment was given I had a lot of trouble doing it. The good thing was I learned how to do new things in photoshop. But truly the change of context photoshop is when I was able to " spread my wings" in photoshop. I was able to show my creativity and I learned how to dow new thing in photoshop. When I was finished with this particular assignment I was satisfied with my work. So fast forward to the last few photoshop assignments. The photoshop tutorials assignments was stressful but fun. When doing then assignment I had to redo the person fading into ink multiple times to het it right. But the results I got were good and I think I could not have done any better with the time I had. The portrait demo assignment was easier said then done. Many of the photos I took were duds and with the approaching due date looming by I got a little stressed out. In the end though it turned out well so I am satisfied with the results I got. I loved the final two photoshop assignments they were so much fun once I got a good pace into them. I enjoyed coming up with puns and I thought the visual dictionary was fun with the options to choose from and what I could do to define them. Overall, I would say this was an interesting, fun, sometimes stressful class where I could show my creativity.
